Sims 4 Beginner's Impressions

I had posted a Sims 4 entry prior to this one about how people are getting their panties in a twist over missing features in Sims 4, and now that I have finally played some of the game I can vent even more about the dumb dumbs out there complaining.

First of all, the game is robust enough without all the things people have been complaining about.

I'll start off talking a bit about the career systems, since that's one of the bigger changes I noticed. The sims I have created have both sought employment, one as an artist, the other an astronaut. The first thing I noticed was a job leaves little room for other stuff unless it's the weekend.

There are a great many things I would gladly accept from family, gifts and praise among them, but let's leave illnesses out of this relationship, please. I beg you.

The Sims 4 and False Expectations

So, I've been hearing all this flack Sims 4 is getting about the whole direction EA is going with preventing the possibility of reviews before the game's release. I've also been seeing people linking lists about what will or will not be included, and how so many people are getting their tits in a twist over how Maxis--or whoever the fuck is developing this rendition--are not combining all their favourite things and wrapping them in brown paper and string to be delivered in the finished product.

HELLO?!

First of all, there is never a finished product when you're talking about Sims anything. And the reason for this is...

SALES! Everyone should be aware by now, when purchasing ANYTHING from Electronic Arts, that they are essentially signing a contract with the devil (a company who wants to sell you shit). Case in point, the Sims franchise.
